The castle tower was closed in March 2026. Exterior viewing is still possible. The reconstructed Ninomaru (second bailey) building, the Ninomaru Museum Shop, and the Sannomaru (third bailey) area of Hiroshima Castle remain open to the public.

The Sannomaru area was renovated in the spring of 2025, and will evolve into an easy-to-visit castle town with the addition of historical exhibits, cultural experiences, cafes, and shops. Another plus is that it's within walking distance of the International Conference Center.

The new Hiroshima Station is scheduled for a grand opening in the spring of 2025. With around 180 shops, restaurants, and even a movie theater, it's a central hub in the city where you can enjoy yourself from the moment you arrive. After arriving by Shinkansen, you can immediately get some work done at a cafe, do some shopping before heading home, or if you have time, relax at the movies or rooftop plaza "Soramoa." It's not just a stopover on your way to Hiroshima, it's a base where you can enjoy your stay in itself.
