1. Introduction (Message from Team)
To Our Future Partners: Let’s Shape the Future of Japan’s Python Community Together.
PyCon JP is one of Japan's largest conferences, where everyone involved with Python gathers to share knowledge and create new connections. We do not just host an event; our mission is to protect the diversity of this technical community and build a sustainable future.
We do not view our sponsoring companies as mere "backers," but as "essential partners" striving toward the conference's success and the technological advancement of the community.
When corporate passion multiplies with the technical capabilities of the community, it sparks unique value and encounters found nowhere else. Operating with fairness and transparency, we will walk sincerely alongside you to ensure both your company and the community maximize your mutual benefits.
Won't you join us in co-creating this special stage that is PyCon JP 2026?

2. PyCon JP by the Numbers (Data & Demographics)
Based on the attendee survey results from "PyCon JP 2025," which was held regionally in Hiroshima, we transparently share objective conference data and our attendee personas.
👥 Attendee Profile: Core Audience Consisting of Active, High-Caliber Engineers Leading the Field
① Job Roles
The vast majority of attendees are technical talents working on the front lines. A defining characteristic is the convergence of modern web developers and professionals in AI and data science—the core strengths of Python.
- Core Demographics: Software/Infrastructure Engineers (Web, Backend, Cloud, etc.)
- Specialized Demographics: Data Engineers, AI Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and R&D Professionals
② Age Groups and Career Depth
The largest segment consists of professionals in their late 20s to 40s—the exact generation driving technology selection and development at their respective companies.
- Ages 26 to 45: The largest segment, accounting for roughly 70% to 80% of all attendees
- Next-Gen & Decision Makers: Wide distribution ranging from young professionals and students under 25 to senior and management levels in their 40s, 50s, and beyond
③ Years of Coding and Python Experience (Technical Proficiency)
This is not an "event full of beginners." Instead, the majority are senior and mid-level engineers who have spent years mastering Python or other languages in professional environments. This makes it the ideal talent pool for technical branding and high-quality mid-career recruitment.
- Overall Programming Experience: A rich concentration of veterans with 6–10, 10–15, or even 20+ years of experience
- Years using Python: Centered around 2–5 and 6–10 years, with many respondents boasting over 10 years of experience
- Diverse Tech Stacks: Technologies such as FastAPI, Django, Flask, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and SQLAlchemy are used daily at a production level.
⚡ Engagement at Sponsor Booths: Overwhelmingly Active and Respectful
Survey results prove that attendees do not pass by sponsor booths as "mere advertisements"—they visit with immense enthusiasm.
- Staggering Traffic Rates: Most attendees passionately tour a high volume of corporate booths, averaging "5 to 10 booths" or even "10 to 20 booths."
- Why Attendees Visit Booths: "To gather technical insights" "Because I am interested in the sponsor company's products/services" "Because I am interested in career/recruitment opportunities with the sponsor company" "For community networking"
- High Satisfaction with Exhibits: A major portion of attendees rated corporate booth content and Sponsor Lightning Talks (LTs) as "Satisfied" (scoring a top 5 or 4 points).
📈 Community Loyalty: Everyone Wants to Return
- Intent to Return: Nearly 100% (all) of the survey respondents stated they "want to attend future PyCon events held in Japan."
- Community Attitude: Attendees responded incredibly positively to the regional host city, noting that "hosting outside Tokyo generates fresh energy" and "builds motivation." They hold a deep respect and goodwill toward the community and the sponsor companies that sustain it.

🚀 ② Technical Branding and Greater Awareness
Establish your brand directly among the core technical audience as a "Python-forward company" or an "organization investing in modern development."
-
Exposure to Highly Active Users: With attendees proactively touring "5 to 20 booths" to gather technical info, this is the perfect opportunity to feature your products, services, or open-source initiatives.
-
Reach a Diverse Tech Stack Audience: Strike a chord with players across a broad spectrum of cutting-edge fields, spanning web development (FastAPI, Django, etc.), data science, AI/ML (Pandas, PyTorch, etc.), Infrastructure/SRE, and Generative AI.
🤝 ③ Building Trust Through Community Support & Internal Empowerment
Earn deep respect and lasting brand loyalty from engineers by standing out as a company that actively fuels a sustainable technology ecosystem.
-
High Engagement: Investing in a high-passion community where nearly 100% of attendees want to return translates directly into long-term trust for your company.

4. Sponsor Testimonials
Here are real-world case studies detailing the value delivered by PyCon JP sponsorships.
🎯 Case Study 1: Technical Branding & Product Awareness
"Awareness of our product exploded among core Python engineers."
-
The Challenge: We launched a new service leveraging Python, but struggled with a lack of awareness among our target engineer audience.
-
The Outcome: We exhibited with a Gold Plan. Over 200 engineers visited our booth across two days, sparking deep discussions about our product's architecture and tech stack. Awareness of us as a company "serious about Python" spread quickly, leading to a noticeable surge in service sign-ups and inquiries post-event.
-
Message to Prospective Sponsors: Beyond just placing a logo, running a booth where you can talk "tech-to-tech" with front-line engineers generates deeper engagement than any traditional marketing initiative.
🧑💻 Case Study 2: Mid-Career Engineer Recruitment
"We connected with and hired self-driven talent with a strong passion for tech—the kind of people you just can't find on traditional recruiting sites."
-
The Challenge: Matching with senior Python engineers or data scientists on standard job boards was incredibly difficult, causing our hiring costs to skyrocket.
-
The Outcome: We used our Sponsor Short Talk slot to give a transparent presentation on the "fascinating technical hurdles" our engineers are currently solving. Inspired by this, attendees flocked to our booth, and we secured multiple casual interviews right on the spot. This led directly to the successful hire of a production-ready engineer who perfectly matched our culture.
-
Message to Prospective Sponsors: PyCon JP attendees are highly driven individuals who spend their personal time learning proactively. If you communicate your technical appeal authentically, you have an incredibly high chance of connecting with engineers who resonate with your mission.
🚀 Case Study 3: Internal Engineering Growth & Motivation
"Sponsoring gave us the opportunity to send our engineers to the event, lifting the motivation of our entire technical organization."
-
The Challenge: We wanted to contribute back to the community while giving our internal engineers a chance to be inspired by the latest technology trends.
-
The Outcome: We used the attendee tickets included in our package to send a group of junior and mid-level engineers. Feeling the energy of global Python trends and cutting-edge case studies firsthand, our team returned and spontaneously started internal study groups. This brought a wave of positive energy back into our development organization.
-
Message to Prospective Sponsors: Sponsorship isn't just an external marketing play; it works beautifully as an internal branding investment to revitalize your own technical teams.
